AFRICAN CENTRE FOR YOUTH GENDER AND ENVIRONMENT
To promote an integrated development Programme that contributes to youth empowerment, gender equality and resilient livelihoods of the vulnerable people and their environment.
In the last two years, AFRICYEG has become a household name in refugee and host population. The ultimate goal of our programmes is to ensure the improved psychosocial wellbeing of children and youth forced to live with the effects of armed conflict. Our interventions incorporate all three of our programming lines in an integrated manner for maximum effect. We work directly with children and youth, the important adults in their lives and the communities around them to ensure our programmes are relevant and have a lasting effect. AFRICYEG has served over 700 young adults and vulnerable individuals. Our initial target are the areas affected by armed conflicts, natural and human disasters with the need of humanitarian support, psychosocial support, education in emergency, health service delivery, protection and food security in families.
